Role outline

Based in the Sydney CBD Head Office, the Digital Account Manager will manage the relationship with our digital clients. This entry-level role involves liaising with clients, managing the delivery of services, monitoring and reporting on campaign performance, and other relevant tasks to maintain and grow the client’s investment.

The successful candidate will benefit from comprehensive training and mentorship from our Senior Account Managers. Through the development of the role, you will become competent in the following:

  • Creating Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) campaign strategy to drive rankings, traffic, and conversions.
  • Overseeing the execution of web development tasks by our web developers.
  • Creating, tracking, and reporting on Search Engine Marketing (SEM) campaigns.
  • Social Media Management (SMM) Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social channels.
  • Managing client expectations, problem-solving, and identifying opportunities to upsell.

Following training, the Account Manager will be expected to:  

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as the first point of contact and ensuring consistent communication to ensure they feel looked after.
  • Manage and monitor campaign performance. 
  • Manage, convey, and present project deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to grow client investment. 
  • Produce in-depth monthly campaign performance reports, confidently and authoritatively explaining each aspect to clients.
  • Understand and resolve challenging client requests or communicate more complex issues to the General Manager. 
  • Educate clients on best practices, project execution, and how to troubleshoot common technical issues with their websites.
  • Research and promote high-conversion and effective campaign elements. 
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and identify relevant opportunities for clients. 
  • Communicate opportunities to improve the client experience with the broader Shark Digital team. 
  • Understand and work with a variety of software reporting tools and CRMs.

Preferred skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for digital marketing with a can-do attitude and willingness to grow and develop your expertise.
  • While not required, any prior experience with digital marketing, social media management, copywriting, or SEO will be valued.
